Introduction
For many schools, some fall items in SchoolCash Online are reintroduced in semester two. By using the Copy feature, you can prepare items for the upcoming semester without immediately attaching students. Providing a longer purchasing timeframe is more effective than attaching items at the last minute.
Copy a Previous Item
- Open SchoolCash Catalog.
- Select the status of Expired.
- Review the list of items from semester one.
- Select the item and choose Copy. The copied item opens for editing.
Preview the Copied Item
- Select the Preview button to review the setup.
- Review and revise key fields, such as:
- Start, Reminder, and End dates.
- References to semester one, fall, or fall dates.
- Pricing details.
- Select Preview again after making revisions.
Save and Attach
Once satisfied with your revisions, save the item. If copying or using a template, ensure you attach students before activating the item.
Troubleshooting
If the item doesn’t appear in your active list after saving, follow these steps:
- Check the start date and confirm it is set correctly.
- Change the status to All to locate the item.
- If you copied an item from a previous school year, check its dates. Update the start and end dates to reflect the current school year.
No Previous Item? Use Templates
If the item wasn’t offered in semester one, explore available templates. Common templates include:
- Course fees
- Lost book charges
- Parking permits
Templates save time and ensure consistent formatting.
Note
Higher adoption rates for SchoolCash Online can lead to greater success in semester two item purchasing.
