At KEV, we’re committed to making financial management easier, more transparent, and more efficient for districts. We listen, we innovate, and we work hard to ensure that every improvement we make helps your team save time, reduce manual work, and provide the best experience for staff and parents.
That’s why we’re excited to share our Winter 2025 Release, packed with enhancements designed to improve reporting, reconciliation, and day-to-day operations. These updates will start rolling out on March 19, 2025 and should be available to you by end of March.
More Ways to Pay, More Control Over Transactions
More Payment Choices – AMEX is Here* Starting March 19, parents and guardians will be able to pay using American Express (AMEX) on SchoolCash Online and SchoolCash POS.
Here’s the best part: we’ve worked tirelessly to secure exceptional rates so your district can offer AMEX without the high fees normally associated with it. That means the processing rate for AMEX will remain the same as the rate paid for all other cards —no added costs for you or your parents.
This new payment option will be available automatically and no action is required from your end.
More Control & Visibility Over Unsettled Point of Sale (POS) Transactions Districts using SchoolCash POS now have the visibility and control over closing POS batches remotely, directly from the Point of Sale Management page in SchoolCash. This will ensure timely funding.

Improved Reconciliation for Easier Financial Management
Reconcile Your Merchant Account With Ease You will soon be able to reconcile your merchant accounts right from within SchoolCash Accounting, using the same easy and familiar functionality you rely on when reconciling your school bank accounts. This means a more seamless experience, reduced manual tracking, and improved financial accuracy—all with a process you already know and trust.
We’re currently piloting this feature with a select group of districts to ensure it meets your needs and delivers the high-quality experience you expect.

Default Deposit Date to The Day of Posting We’ve made it easier to ensure deposit dates in your ledger accurately reflect when funds are posted, preventing backdated deposits from impacting reconciliation. Now, deposit dates automatically default to the day of posting date, with the flexibility to adjust if needed.

Timesaving Enhancement For Bookkeepers & Administrators
A More Tailored Homepage The SchoolCash landing page is now more streamlined and intuitive, bringing everyday actions and frequently used reports front and center while ensuring users only see the areas they have permission to access. The Reports section can also be tailored to highlight the most important reports for your district, making it easier to access key information quickly. Additionally, we’ve expanded the list of available reports to include SchoolCash Catalog reports for even greater flexibility.
More Efficient Close Out in SchoolCash Register (SCR) The Close Out process just got smoother and more efficient for bookkeepers. They can now preview the Close Out Report at any stage, reducing the need to restart the process when making adjustments. We’ve also added receipt numbers to the Close Out Report, making it easier to cross-reference transactions and improve traceability.

Filter Forms Submissions Based on a Date Range We are making improvements to the Forms Report. The newly added Date Range filter saves bookkeepers time, as they can export and view the form submissions within a selected date range, instead of exporting the whole report and identifying the form submissions they need. |
