This article provides network connectivity requirements and troubleshooting information for SchoolCash POS.


Use this information to review URL and port allow-list requirements and to troubleshoot charging, connectivity, LTE, Wi-Fi, and SIM card issues on the device.

  • Allow-list ssl2.vitalps.net over port 5003.
  • Allow-list ssl3.vitalps.net over port 5003.


Canadian customers only

  • Allow-list icta.pivone.com over port 9057.
  • Allow-list ictb.pivone.com over port 9057.


Common troubleshooting steps

  • Ensure the device is charged and powered on.
  • Check the internet connection and reconnect if necessary.
  • Restart the device to resolve temporary issues.
  • Refer to the POS support page for detailed troubleshooting instructions.


LTE connectivity

  • Open Settings on the device.
  • Go to Network, then select Carrier.
  • Select Lock to Single Carrier to improve stability.
  • Verify the LTE connection indicator in the top-right corner of the device screen to confirm connectivity.


Wi-Fi connectivity

  • Open Settings, then select Wi-Fi.
  • Confirm Wi-Fi is turned on and connected to a network.
  • Verify the Wi-Fi connection indicator in the top-right corner of the screen to confirm connectivity.


SIM card troubleshooting

  • Ensure the SIM card is properly inserted into the device.
  • Check the SIM card for visible damage. If the SIM card is damaged, replace it.
  • Restart the device after inserting or re-inserting the SIM card.
  • If issues persist, contact Support for assistance.
