How does Limit Per Student work?

Default: Limit Per Student default is 1, which means one Add to Cart/Purchase for the student.

This example uses the SchoolCash program defaults.

Example:

Limit Per Student = Default, One (1);
Limit Quantity = Default, Unlimited

Scenario: A parent has two children and wants to purchase the fee for each child.

  • Fee was attached to both children

  • The Limit Per Student remained as default of one. This means the quantity field is not available.
    The purchaser can select the choice, but not enter a quantity greater than one of that choice to be purchased.
    • therefore, Parent selects Child #1 and purchases fee,
      then selects Child #2 and purchases fee
    • Note: To confirm, the parent will not be able to purchase two under one child, because there is no quantity field to change from 1 to 2.

  • The Limit Quantity remains as the default of Unlimited
    • Why? No limit to the Quantity Available for this item.

Example: Track and Field Sweat Set (only one set)

The SchoolCash Online window would display with two options, each with a cost. The Option Minimum and Maximum defaults remain at 1:1, providing the choices with circles (radio button). This forces the purchaser to make both a hoodie and a sweat pant size selection.

The Limit Per Student remained as default of one. This means the quantity field is not available.
