Tax Calculator - when to use


Use the tax calculator: 

  • when the invoice states that HST is included, but not displayed on the Invoice.
    • option to calculate the HST for this invoice.
  1. Select the Tax Calculator button
  2. Select the Tax Type – HST
  3. Select Continue
    The system will automatically calculate the HST Paid amount based on the TOTAL amount
    entered on the Category Information line.

Do Not use the Tax Calculator if the invoice displays a purchase sub-total, followed by tax amount. Enter the tax indicated on the invoice. If you are combining several invoices, review them all for a tax amount, add the tax amounts of the individual invoices and enter that amount. Do not use the tax calculator.
